Wunderman Thompson, Figr Inc. and Thinkingbox worked together to develop and design a one of a kind 3D AR app that scans Figr product packaging to provide product information in a way never seen before in the industry.
When customers or "budtenders" open the app they are presented with an age gate and a camera prompting them to scan the Figr logo. Users can interact with the plant to see information about the product such as the plant origins and terpene profile giving customers more information about the taste and aroma of the strain. Customers are also able to view an AR grow room where they can swipe through a carousel of cannabis plants and select one to place in their scene. Real time lighting, effects and scalability made the plant seem like it was really there, living and growing in the customers’ own environment.
